8 Lunchtime Sessions
A Mindfulness Based Cognitive Training (MBCT) for 5-25 people
Eight lunchtime sessions to help your staff develop peace and well-being If people in your workplace suffer from stress, anxiety, bad meetings or you just want your staff to feel happier and more content then Mindfulness can help. This eight week course includes two key aspects of Mindfulness: meditation and self-enquiry. These techniques are very simple yet have profound impacts on our lives when we start to put them into action. In each class we will start by practising simple meditation techniques that help us to step out of our thinking minds and back into the present moment. A regular practice of Mindfulness meditation, even only 10 minutes a day, increases our feelings of happiness and contentment throughout our day and reduces our negative reactions to 'stressful' events. Course Structure: 8 one hour lunchtime sessions: Session 1: Stress: Learning to savour life and let go of physical tension, using the breath. Make space Session 2: Addiction: Soothing ourselves using the relaxation response. Let go of Dopamine. Make serotonin Session 3: Guilt: The STOP technique: Story? What is my mind saying? Write down your thoughts. Session 4: Anxiety: STOP technique:True? Can facts and feelings be OK? Smile at your thoughts. Session 5: Blame: STOP: Opposite. How can I flip the thought to the opposite? Discover new perspectives and options Session 6: Frustration: STOP: Plan. What could I do? When will I do it? What am I learning? Session 7: Shame: Flipping self judgement into a super power Session 8: Joy: Embedding a mindfulness practice. |
