Monday's 6pm at the Harbour Hotel, Central Bristol. 

Come straight after work for a healthy dose of mindfulness and positivity. Co-Taught with Mark Dunn, each week we follow a guided meditation practice with shared insights into how to change negative thought patterns into positive, proactive patterns.

Awareness of breathing helps us to slow down and heal the nervous system.
2. Addiction: Understand craving and learn how to acknowledge the needs that arise. 
3. Anxiety: Sense the body, See the Stories. Turn depression into expression. 
4  Frustration: Think it through, is it True? Turning tenancies into positive traits. 
5  Blame: Accepting facts and revealing new options to become the author of your own story.

I have done mindfulness and meditation courses before, but never have I connected so much with the approach, the techniques and the teacher as in the 6 week mindfulness and meditation course Neil ran.

​Neil is incredibly charismatic, playful and funny whilst also being super knowledgeable, empathetic and insightful. He strikes the perfect balance between the two.  
I would 10/10 recommend Neil to anyone who is wanting to explore mindfulness more.

2 Day Meditation Retreat
4-5 April 2020

2 days to integrate the practice

Optional fasting for 24 hrs
"It has been said that civilization is twenty-four hours and two meals away from barbarism" (Neil Gaiman).
We offer an extra challenge - to be with and explore hunger, without reacting in the normal way, instant gratification. Fasting will focus your meditation practice and give you a huge appreciation for food and a sense of empowerment in your body. It will help you move from 'needing' food to 'loving' food. This will help you transfer that appreciation to other parts of your life too - your body, your mind, your lifestyle.

This is totally optional and some people will not be fasting, so there is no pressure. You could even go for a 'reduced-fast' where you allow fruit throughout the day. All food will be brought by participants to share. We will all eat together on day two.

Times: 9am - 6pm Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April, 2020

What will the day include (all optional):
  • Guided meditation throughout the day at regular intervals
  • Short coaching session for each participant, before and after the retreat
  • Guided and solo walking and exploring meditation
  • Guided and solo  mindful movement and stretching sessions
  • Journaling and art sessions each day
  • Solo task time - bring a thing you’ve been putting off and get it done. (for example sewing, filing, reading) and combine it into your mindful practice.
  • Support is offered throughout the retreat for individuals who are struggling
  • Optional fasting: I will be fasting and encouraging those who bring food to opt for a clean diet, and to delay gratification with food. We will share a meal together at the end of the retreat. 
  • Maximum number of 18 spaces, so please book early. ​

We have been running sell-out Mindfulness & Positivity Courses at Bristol City Yoga studios for over 5 years with incredible feedback. We recently got offered a beautiful space above a pub, so we have more dates:
